Are You Ready?

Well, only about two weeks till I leave for Atlanta and I have alot of different emotions.  One day I'm excited, the next I'm nervous, and then a little bit of both.  Everyone I run in to asks, "Are You Ready"?  The more I've thought about that question I've wondered... will I ever be completely ready? I don't think so.  It's normal to have fears, and its allowed me to surrender those to the Lord.  We wouldn't need Him if we were completely ready!

So yes, I'm excited about the trip... excited because I know it will be hard and it will challenge me to depend on the Lord's strength every single day.  I'm ready to be changed and look at people the way Christ does.  I'm ready to love like Christ loves.  I'm ready to make an eternal difference in this world.  Those are the things I'm ready for!  The Lord will strengthen me when I feel defeated and that's what surrender is all about.  It will bring freedom over our sins and I'm ready for that freedom!

Please pray that the Lord will continue to work out those fears that I have.  I have already been stretched and I know it will continue even before I arrive in Atlanta.  Thanks for the continued support and prayers.  God Bless and seek His  face daily!!

Christmas in Pleasanton

Well Christmas was fun but flew by. I can't believe it's already over! A little less than a month before I leave and it is getting a little weird now. After all the anticipation, it is finally getting closer!!

Sunday started the week off with Country Christmas at my local church Cowboy Fellowship. I helped in the kitchen with all the food and then enjoyed watching all the kids open their gifts. I love this service because it is so different from most Christmas services. I feel like it really reminds you of the true meaning of Christmas and also serving the community.

We opened our presents on Christmas Eve as the annual tradition for the Hindes family. My family had Christmas at Amy and Clifton's house (my sister and brother in law). My brother Carter and his wife Laura were in the Woodlands with her family so we were missing two. I missed them!! I think all I did was eat all day but it was yummy! I enjoyed playing with everyones new gadgets and toys. You can never be too old for toys! That pretty much wraps up my Christmas. I hope you all had a great time with your family as well.

Happy New Year!!!
